Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.
I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.
12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.
The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?
Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.
Case closed.

They certainly did it. A lot of technology was required, yes, but it was possible with the engineering of the 1960's. The rocket used to go to the moon was not too different from the nuclear missiles designed at that time.
From today's perspective it would not be possible only because we now have greater safety concerns than we had then. The public was willing to accept more risk than we are now. So, we won't send anyone to the moon (or anywhere else) again until some safety issues are resolved.

Many people think man went to the moon and walked on it.
In reality, during the daytime when you can't see the moon, they brought it to earth and the astronauts just climbed a ladder up to it, they shot the film then they came down and they moved it back.
They faked the part about the rockets going there and landing on it.
This is the main problem with Mars, they want to bring it here too but the problem is, the moon is in the way and they might collide.
Personally, I think they should bring the moon here, climb up to it, and then bring Mars to the moon. (But that would be too easy).

Why does this question get asked every day? Doesn't anyone ever use that handy-dandy "search for questions" box helpfully supplied by Yahoo?
It was real. It was televised.
Thousands of people would have had to be silenced for the last 27 years if it were a hoax.
Go ahead - ask about World Trade Center 7 next. And then the JFK assassination. What other "conspiracies" do you want to "uncover?"

Do you really believe that they had the computer technology to get a ship that far without breaking apart and blowing up when they are still just barely able to make it work today? Think about the size of the computers they would have had to have being that simple data processors in the 70's were the size of truck tankers.
Come on shelly!

I am convinced that the moon landings were real. I have also read that the astronauts saw UFOs on the moon, and that the real reason project Apollo was cut short was because we were somehow warned that the moon is occupied, and that we are not welcome on the moon.

It really comes down to "Did you hear that tree fall in the forest?".
Until you witness it first hand it will always be a question even with physical proof of rocks, sound, video, etc...
You just have to believe and it will become true.
