never buy a car from a rental company... that's like marrying a hooker, everybody bangs those cars hard

Just about ALL of the rental car companies get rid of their inventory (cars) on a regular basis and replace them with newer ones. As a general rule of thumb, you should decide what make of car and condition you'd like, then research the companies...they have their preferences. Beware that these cars have excess mileage and wear-and-tear on them...after all they've been driven more than the family sedan and by tens if not hundreds of people before put on the block for resale. Have your mechanic (or at least someone with more automotive knowledge than yourself) check out the vehicle BEFORE you agree to purchase...usually these sales are FINAL!

Go to each rental companies separate website. I have had very good luck with enterprise for my last three cars.

I would try Hertz or Enterprise if I was going to get one. They retire cars very frequently, but I'd try to get a better model car than just the economy car. They've probably been used less because they cost more to rent...

don't buy a car from a rental place!!!! my former father in law is a mechanic for a very big rental car agency - those cars go through hell!!!!
