They use to cut themselves with a razor blade a long time ago, until all these diseases within the blood started being discovered and it was thought to be unhealthy. That's why if you ever see Ric Flair's forehead up close, you'll see a lot of scars and it just looks like crap.

Now they MOSTLY use blood capsules. They still really bleed from chair shots and some moves, but the way to bleed easily and to get it dramatic they just have a capsule hiden. That's why on most replays of when someone bleeds, when they first get hit there will be no blood. Then they fall and hold their hands up over the spot and they'll get up and there will be blood all over the place.

The actual proper phrase for "cutting" is actually "gigging" and it is used with a razor blade that is hidden usually in the wrist wrap of the wrestler. they quickly rake the blade across their skin, and make a small nick, just enough to bleed. sometimes they will use a capsule for more dramatic effects, but most of the time it is real blood. you can tell the difference between the fake and real blood by looking at the color itself. sometimes it is bright red, and other times it is A deep crimson color. the latter is the real deal.

very seldom, but it DOES happen when a wrestler will actually be split open by the opponent from a legitimate strike. but this is usually seen in franchises like the ECW, and WCW. seldom in the WWE.

So to paraphrase, yes the blood in wrestling is real. for the most part. unless it is free flowing. then no.

Sometimes yes... sometimes no. Most of the top names get paid enough to bleed... especially at the PPV's. Everyone knows WWE is fake (well, let's call it RIGGED). They take bumps and they are paid to bleed on occasion. Some wrestlers (most of the top talent) know how to bleed without causing too much harm to themselves or their opponent. Every now and then you'll see some of the lower level talent take a chance at cutting themselves or letting the opponent cut them. But trust me... this stuff is staged far in advance. On other occasions the blood is faked with special effects blood. Remember the name "Scott Hall"... believe it or not he is my source on this. We went to church together back in the late 90's in Orlando when he was getting his life straightened out post New World Order.

What are ya'll talking about most of the times they cut themselves they don't use capsules. And ynot76@prodigy.net the proper term for cutting isn't gigging it's blading and Glens last name is Jacobs. But sometimes they bleed by accident like at this years Great American Bash, Kennedy wasn't supposed to bleed that much.

Yes, the wrestler practice a thing they call "cutting", where they cut themselves a little bit. Then, the blood mixes with the already present sweat and the person appears to be bleeding profusely.

With all of the blood-related diseases out there...I can't imagine anyone cuts themselves anymore. But I do remember the first pay-per-view Randy Orton was in and the camera caught him struggling to put the blood packet on his forehead while he was hanging upside-down by his ankles by Triple H.

Nothing in WWE is real! Anyone who watches that fake stuff should have their head examined, and if you believe it is real it is too late to have your head examined, so go turn on WWE and enjoy the fakest stuff on tv.
