when im calling india from usa the dial tone always come up does that mean the numbers in india have changed????

If at all numbers change, they don't change en-block for the entire country. There are many service providers in telephony. If the dial tone comes back after dialing a number, it doesn't mean necessarily that the number has changed. Further in case any particular number is changed, there remains a pre-recorded message for 1-3 months that the number has changed.

Check the number you are dialing or get confirmation of the number through alternate source.

Try adding a 2 in front of the number, thats the change that happened in most cities.

No.s have not been changed recently, i.e. in the past year or so. especially in vadodra. But maybe you can try dialing the number differently. If you want to check specific no.s I would suggest you go to http://mumbai.mtnl.net.in/directory/howtouse.html

in india tel. no keeps on changing bcoz india is now developing very fast.so you put 2 before your actual no even if the problem is not solved then mail me the no i will find it for you
