I'm really into Gogol Bordello, Skampararas, Die Artze, and a jillion "irish" punk bands (most of whom are from Chicago, haha)

can anyone give me some other good punk / ska / whatever bands i might be into? thanks!

for ska there's this band from spain called ska-p, i saw them in concert it was pretty cool. consider listening to european symphony metal if you'd like to try something new, it may sound like a weird thing to suggest and out of subjet but they're good on that, here's some bands just in case(within temptation, nightwish, eths, and epica, those are my favorite)

You tried Sham 69? They're great... and of course, there's always the Clash and the Sex Pistols. A lot of great punk came out of England and Ireland (Not the one in Chicago, the one in Europe). Those are good to start out with, because if you like them, you'll pretty much be pushed in the right direction SOMEHOW.

I hope that last bit made sense...

Go back to the classics.
Check out The Clash.
Really big a few years back, they helped defied punk that we know today.
"London Calling" is the most famous album they ever made, and is a GREAT song.

The Romones, Sex Pistols, Minor Threat, Black Flag... All great bands that helped shaped punk that we know today.
