Every president is good at telling the public what needs to be change, but why don't they do something about it. Look at this, directly from the whitehouse pages. President Bush states he that Social Security needs to change then says he will do nothing.

President Bush has discussed the importance of Social Security and the need to fix the Social Security system for future generations of Americans.

The President has assured Americans that he will not change the Social Security system in any way for those born before 1950.

Because all you have to do is convince the sheeple that you understand the problems and are concerned about them for about 6 months before your next election. Then you can just chill and get paid. Best part is everybody has forgotten what you said by the next election so you can just talk about the same problems all over again.

It says he will not change social security "FOR THOSE BORN BEFORE 1950".

um like why No Child was never funded, social program cutbacks, gasoline sky high, Space program suggested but not funded...

do we call it- "lip service"? His pappy used to say "read my lips!"
