You can try all the ideas mentioned below, but with this hot weather the clover will stay green, while grass will go yellow and parched,unles you water it of course.I have clover in my lawn but it keeps the lawn looking healthy.

my mum used to sunbathe and pick it all out by hand so thats what i did too... even the cat sits there pulling it out with its claws..lol get a cat!?
