I have a Samsung SCH-A670 from Verizon. The top of the clamshell separated from the bottom so the phone still functions but the screen no longer functions so I can no longer access the controls properly. Is there a way that I can retrieve my contact list, picture album, SMS texts from my phone?

There are a few different ways to get the info off of the phone. the simm card solution would only work if you HAVE a simm card, and if you input all of the info onto the simm card, and not directly to the phone, which is what most people do, sort of habit.

One way to solve the problem is to take it to a virizon dealer/service center and have them connect the phone to a computer via a data cable, and they can transfer the info from the old phone to a replacement one for a small fee. (around 5 dollars) or you can search on E-bay and get a data cable for your phone and do it yourself.

The Data cable is the easiest way to get the info from the defective phone.

when you get a new phone, they will pull the SIMM card from your old phone, you'll be able to transfer the info
if you get a different model that uses a different type of storage device, most decent phone companies can upload your info from your phone onto a computer, then transfer it to your new phone

There are alot of car audio and electronic stores that will do it. Usually not chain stores...try there. I found one in San Diego that does it for $25 and can print or put them on a CD for more $.
