I have a modeling agency really interested in me but first I need to loose 3 kilos. They say this after measuring my hips so kind of confused. I thought you convert it to pounds but my mom seems to think that it could be a few inches off my hips i need to loose.

Thanks. I guess it would be about 7 lbs then. Well this really sucks cuz I love food. Apparently body mass indexes are wrong because I am 5'7" and weigh 108 and if i loose 7 pounds that makes me 101 and according to BMI thats way underweight. maybe i could be a lingerie model one of these days cuz they a little curvier :P diets suck

3 kilos is about 6.6 pounds. 3 kilometers is about 1.87 miles.
Yes BMI is not one size fits all. It doesn't properly account for one's frame size. I'm 5'10, and weigh 170, and I am borderline overweight by those standards. However I have a 44 inch chest and and 30 inch waist. I'm a man, and noone thinks I'm nearly overweight..
Sounds like they want you to take weight off your hips, possibly your legs, but not a few inches off the legs, maybe an inch or a little more.
Don't stop eating, that will slow your metabolic system and you'll gain weight. Eat snacks like apples and carrots often, to keep the digestive metabolism up.
Exercise more. Swimming is great, because it exercises most all the muscles.
To burn weight fast, work your larger muscles, especially the legs. Avoid alcohol and sugary drinks. Drink lots of water with a LITTLE bit of lemon, for a diuretic purpose, with the water.
Spot reduction really doesn't work, but working the large muscles and increasing your metabolism will get you where the agency wants you to be. You may actually gain weight and drop a size or two. This is only because muscle weighs more than fat.
For goodness sake, don't buy some product from the agency. If they are trying to sell you a weight reduction product, they are scammers.

2.2 pounds per kilo--so 3 kilos would be 6.6 pounds
They are equating inches of circumference to the equivalent weight of fat. Problem is that your body may not loose weight in that area first. So to reduce circumference in that area you might end up loosing even more weight.
Also if you try to loose inches by exercise you may build muscle which weighs more than fat. Your inches could go down while your weight goes up a little!

it's Kilos to pounds, dear, and generally when you shed pounds, you shed inches. But why are you listening to what some modeling agency wants you to look like. Feel comfortable in your own skin girl! Do be judged unless it's by yourself! Good luck

You convert kilograms to pounds.
The measurement probably determined the size of your waist and based on that they estimated how much you weigh. Or they might know how much 3 kilograms affects the waistline of a person.

The only time "Kilo" is used in length is with KiloMETERS, which being closer to a mile is not suitable for personal measurements. Sounds to me like they're talking KiloGRAMS.

They are talking about pounds. They want you to lose (one 'o') enough weight that it comes off of your hips, hence the inches.
