Mine is decay. Not only of the human body but of objects as well. I just dread to think that my favourite things might be destroyed or spoilt someway.

If things did not decay, you wouldnt be here to ask the question, and your favourite things would not exist. Think about it....

The decay of an object is inevitable. Its like having a fear of rotation and living on the planets surface. Theres nothing you can do about it, it should not be feared, but accepted and appreciated.

I already answered this question once, and I won't do it now, as I'd like to give others the chance to gain 10 points. No really, mine is a fear of being arrogant. But as for *your* greatest fear: isn't that really attachment? - That you are attached to your body I understand, as your body is your thing-in-itself: without your body, there would be no you. This does not mean, however, that you need to be attached to your beauty, or your youth. And attachment to things! Of course, there are things which you need, such as food, but "my favourite things" doesn't sound like essentials. I, who have a certain joy in destruction, love to imagine precious things shattering to pieces. The only things I fear are those which could imperil my spirit, i.e., my imagination. Thank God that is a never-ending story.

My biggest fear would be losing my eye sight. I know that many people deal with this, but not being able to see who was near me or where I was going would really be tragic to me. I so enjoy watching the sunrise and the sunset. My eye sight plays such an important part in my life that losing it would just make me a paranoid nutcase.

That something bad will happen to my children. One or all. ( I have five, so I have a lot of fear)

This one keeps me awake at night. And can alter what I do during the day. Every other fear I have pales in the face of this one.

I discovered years ago that I can't always be there when they fall. I can't always protect them. And prayer and faith unfortunately and for whatever reasons, has limitations.

Moths. With their hideous furry bodies and unpredictable moves. Also, there was an episode of Casualty where a moth crawled into an old lady's ear while she was asleep and laid EGGS! How creepy is that?? And they have no reason to be on this planet -they are an abomination!!

What you are describing is attachment. And, that you are becoming aware of it, is wonderful.

What is my biggest fear? I suspect it is a fear of offending my Spiritual Master in some way. I also have some trepidation regarding my insufficient practice of meditation in preparation for death, and not wanting to be disappointed at where I am placed to continue my Spiritual evolution.

Anything that might get imbedded in my skin and then work it's way out or something like in the Alien movies where things come out of peoples bodies. And all these things would be alive!

Going insane, of the constant fear variety, or losing control over my own body.
