That question is one of those that prove you are a liar no matter how you answer. So I take the fifth.

When Billy Carter ran for President accomidarions had to be made in Plains Georga for all the reporters and Mother carter had to play the host sense there was no hotel in town. She would greet them all with a typical southern welcome and pleased to meet you, and then invite them all to dinner. At one of these setting the meal had barely gotten underway and a young reporter jumped the gun and came right out and asked Mother Carter; is it true that Billy has never to a single lie in his life? Mother Crater composed herself and answered: wello may only a little white lie. The reporter not satisfied then pushed again: what do you mean a little white lie? Mother Carter then responded. Remember when I greeted you and politely said please to meer you , well that was one.

In Roman Law a distinction was made between a Dolas Bonus and a Dolas Malice. The latter is a lie told to facilitate a crime or blatent fraud, but the former averrd a justifiable deceit. Blacks Law Dictionay gives an example of a Dolas Bonus being thus justified if the intent of such is to prevent a lunitic from causing harm to himself or others.

Still if you really want to get Philosophical then consider Buddhist Teachings wherein it is stress that all of our understanding and perceptions are no more than an expedient, as we are yet without the wisdom to even begin to comprehend the whole truth of anything. No wonder they say there is alittle truth in evry lie!

Wish I was. I try to tell the little white lies - but generally have this problem being brutally honest. If you ask me you had better be prepared for an honest straightforward answer. If your hair looks like sh-it, don't ask me if I like it as I'm sure you already know or would not have asked me. I'll tell you the dress is ugly - the hair is awful - your taste stinks - no that is not a good color. So, not lying or not being able to lie is not necessarily a good thing in all situations.

It is possible on the physical plane, which is a relatively true plane of existence, not to be relatively less than Truthful? Are not ones responses, with the best of intentions, based on data, or an experience base which is not complete bound to be only relatively true? Is then the opposite of this an untruth? Or, if ones intentions are to be truthful, but ones knowledge is incomplete, then does ones response, which is intended to be true, true by intention? Are we, on the physical plane judged by other than our intentions relative to this plane? I believe not. And the Laws of Karma grind us in any case... until we learn the difference.

Seriously, the average person lies dozens of times a day. If you don't think so, try to go all day without telling even the tiniest little lie. You will be fired, beaten, or break up, I promise. (I lied.)

Because of the country I live in, I am not forced to incriminate myself. I believe we call it drinking the fifth.
