I have suffered with cramps my entire life (well since I started my period at 13 and I am now 40). They were as bad as being in hard labor most of the time. First of all Tylenol is pretty much useless for this pain. You need to think Anti-inflammatories (Advil, Aleve and so on) as your first line of defense. As some one mentioned you need 800 mg of the Advil (ibuprofen). If that doesn't work get your doctor to step it up to a Opiate based pain pill. Start small and work up. Try say Tylenol 3 or Darvocet then go on to Vicodin and finally Percocet.

Yes, Vitex Berry is wonderful for cramps - also for hot flashes - and raspberry tea is wonderful for cramps also. I would also recommend Dong Quai and rubbing Lavender oil on the area. It really does help, as well as being calming.

The herb Agnus Castus is supposed to be good - I have never tried it myself but know of girls it has helped. I was looking on the internet and found this site that explains it well.

A health-food store should be able to get it for you, depending on what country you live in, some herbs are not sold in some countries.
