What makes this a "blunder"? These people seem to be starting a new life in the right direction, one that does not include self medication. What's wrong with offering them a few dollars to show their support for this Nations Political Party that actually CARES about the American people from all walks of life and not just the fat cat donors. Of course that would be too difficult for some people to comprehend which is why there is not intelligence test required to be able to vote. If there were, Democrats would be THE single Party governing the United States.

Sure, it's odd. A bad political move that was the result of negligence on the part of the candidate's campaign.
But it's not as odd as one getting their information from "The Washington Times"; a severely slanted newspaper owned by cult leader Sun Myung Moon (The Moonies); A man who has publicly declared himself "The Messiah" and expects others to worship him.
