From WC 2006:

Dida: STAY! He had a great WC, still is the best brazilian goalie. He will be 35 at 2010, but it is not too bad for a goalie;

Cafu: GO! Should've gone 4 years ago, he is way too old to play;

Lucio: STAY! Also had a great WC, and is very serious. He is my bet to be the new capitain;

Juan: STAY! Good WC, but has to prove consistency. If so, can stay;

Roberto Carlos: GO! (gone) He is also old, and has not been that great, anyway. Physically fit, but technically in the average;

Emerson: GO! He could play for a while, but probably not till 2010. Therefore, it's time to look for another defensive midfielder;

Ze Roberto: STAY! best brazilian player in the WC, probably stays for now. I doubt he will be there in 2010, though.

Kaka: STAY! He is young and very tallented. With a serious team, is a top player;

Ronaldinho: STAY! Nobody questions his talent, with a decent team he will be very important. Will be 30 in 2010, so can easily play in the next WC;

Ronaldo: GO! As sad as it is, his physical problems makes me certain that he will be retired by 2010. No point in keeping him in the team;

Adriano: STAY! Also young enough, and will probably just evolve till 2010.

Rogerio Ceni: GO! He is very good, but will be overaged in 2010. It's either him or Dida, nad Dida is better;

Cicinho: STAY! He is Cafu's natural replacer, and should've replaced him this year already;

Luisao: STAY! as long as he proves he is good enough to stay... he is young enough

Cris: GO! he is not that good anyway and will be overaged in 2010;

Gilberto: GO! He is not young enough to replace Roberto Carlos in 2010, even though he sholud have been the starter in 2006. Brazil needs to look for somebody younger;

Gilberto Silva: GO! same situation as Emerson;

Juninho Pernambucano: GO! I'd love to see him as a starter, but he is not that good to place a bet that he will be fine at 34, in 2010;

Mineiro: GO! Was just a step player this year, and is already reaching 30;

Ricardinho: GO! Is not that good anyway, and will be over 34 in 2010;

Robinho: STAY! He is the star of next generation; 2010 will be his WC;

Fred: STAY! also young, should be fine in 2010, actually he is still improving and should give Adriano a run for the starting position;

Julio Cesar: GO! What was he doing there this year, anyway?

My two cents...

Those that should stay: Dida, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ze Roberto, Juninho Pernambucano, Adriano, Fred and Robinho

Those that should go: Cafu (I love him, but I think his time is up), Lucio, Emerson, Juan, and Ronaldo (not because he's too fat, as everybody else says, but because he's suffered numerous injuries and is not up to par anymore).

I think R. Carlos is a great player, and it makes me sad that he is leaving but I support his decision to allow new, young players a chance... If Ze Roberto decides to leave, he will surely be missed

Ronaldo is getting too fat and slowing them down. Ronaldhino is so overrated. Kaka should stay, he plays better than the other two.

kaka is pretty much my favorite on the brasilian team...hes definitely staying...hes young, talented, and in his prime.

i dont really care who goes...its a shame that ronaldo wasnt able to shine during his last world cup (if this was in fact his last...im not too sure).

The only one worth keeping is Robinho. All the rest depend on the development of new players. Won't be to hard to get replacements for this team.

I think all the older generation should go. It's time for a major refurbishment...
