She wakes up with it swolen but it continues all day long...The medicine that i have been putting in it will sooth the eye and cure it for about a day or two and them it comes back...Any suggestions besides the vet, because if it gets any worse we will have to call him out again.

She may have an allergy to the food that you are giving her, or the bedding she is in. Try to rule out all allergies because even though she is on meds, it will continue to come back.

Try keeping her outside for a while or in turnout for the day, and see if it gets better.

Now, if it has puss or goo coming out, then you know she has an infection. If she is a broodmare, it may be a sign that she is pregnant.

Good luck!

There are many possibilities here. As said above get your vet out. Never wait to call when it comes to horse eyes. Even the simplest thing can turn into a major problem if left un treated.

There's nothing we can suggest, even a vet would have a hard time giving you an answer based on that description.

Don't play games with your horse's health. Get the vet out today.

It sounds like she has a foreign object in her eye that is continuing to cause the eye irritation.Did your vet flush out the eye when he was there? If not you should have him out and he should do so.Horse get things in their eyes all the time.As long as the object is removed most horses recover well.

Sounds like a foreign object is still in the eye, irritating it. You need to get your vet to look at it to see if something is caught under the eyelid or embedded in the cornea.
