I'm considering signing up with Netflix and just looking for some opinions on it...

A couple of months ago, I tried both Netflix and Blockbuster Online at the same time (from a response I got here at Yahoo, by the way). I've read the consumer reports and all that stuff, and I ended up keeping BO because of the free in-store rental coupons every week. I recommend trying both and seeing which is better. They both have free trials right now:

Promo Code: D80008716

-or-

www.blockbuster.com/trial
Promo Code: 40037

It was alright. It was kind of hard for me to choose movies because you only see new releases and it is for all different of movies even independant films. So if you didn't know the name of a movie you wanted to see you can't just wonder around looking at the covers till something catches your eye like you would at block buster. The other thing that I didn't like was I never remembered to mail the movies back and then all the sudden it is friday night and I want to see a movie so there I was at block buster. I found for me the monthy blockbuster membership where you can walk into the store pick out your movie and have two at a time was easier. I kept the Netflix movies for like 3 months how silly is that and what a waste of money. If you are an organized person it probably will work well for you as for me I am more a spur of the moment kind of girl.

I LOVE Netflix. I was one of those "money wasters" - late charges I paid for returning my movies late was just ridiculous. So now I can take as long as I want with up to 3 movies and as soon as I return one, the next one in my queue arrives a day or two later.

They provide you with a postage paid return envelope so all I do is drop the movie(s) I've watched into a mailbox. Also, I really enjoy adding movies to my queue and I can also change the order or delete them depending on which movie I'm in the mood for. If you're really a movie fan and you love watching movies but not having to worry about when you have to return them or a late fee, Netflix is for you.

I have had Netflix for a while its great, but i had alot of movies on my Que and it was taking a while for just 3 movies to come! I had to take off all the movies and then add them when i wanted it and i recived my movies at a better speed. I watch them and send them right back when i get it so that way i can get more movies to watch! I love to watch movies but if i want to watch a movie in a couple of days i go to blockbuster because it takes about 1-2 buisness days to arrive at your house. But otherwise I really do love netflix!

I had it, but I switched to Blockbuster.com because it is the same price and I get coupons every month that I can take to my local Blockbuster store and get a movie right away if I need to.

Never had any problems with Netflix though.

Netflix is awsome.

The only problems is an occasional disk that plays bad. Check for scratches.

I like it. But you have to remember, if you're not watching at least 5 movies a month it's not worth it. (After your initial sign-up the monthly fee is around $17-20.) I live in PA, so the mail time for me is quick. One day for returns, a day for them to fill my order and then one day for new movies to arrive. I also have a roommate who has different tastes, so we alternate movies (he gets to pick everyother one). I'm a big movie fan too, love watching them... so when I find the red envelope in my mailbox, it's a fun feeling.

I love it - signed uup just a couple of months ago. Turnaround time is pretty good, selection is good and I love not having to dirve to return them or pick them up and I love that there is no due date back. With three kids this is a major plus.

I love having Netflix. No due dates, no late fees and you can find movies on there you can't find in a regular video store. :)

My mom has it and says she can't live without it. No late fees. It is all done by mail (they supply the envelope). She can have 3 movies checked out at a time so if she sends one back they send her another one off her list.
