Yes and its great. The freedom, the peace and quiet, always able to get away whenever I have to, etc etc.
Now only if I can get rid of my neighbors too. lol

I used to always say that I would rather live alone but after the last three years in this dreary efficiency apartment, I really miss some of the people I rented rooms from or to in the past. Its ashame though that some of the situations ended with hard feelings and the reasons now seem so petty. To be honest, my perfect scenario would be to keep living alone but to have a female friend come and spend the night every couple weeks so I'd have some one to put my arms around at bed time now and then and someone to drink coffee with in the kitchen in the morning. Alone is safest I guess but its lonely.

Living alone is sometimes a lifestyle choice and sometimes due to not having anyone.
Some people can't stand to be alone even for a few hours. If they break up with one person, they immediately find someone else. Many people would break up with their bf/gf but they cant stand the thought of being alone. But roommates can sometimes be such a problem.
The most important thing to consider is this.....
Are you comfortable with your own company?
Happiness shared is doubled, grief shared is halfed.
It's great to always your stuff wont be moved, to have control of the remote at all times, to watch the movie you want, to not have to wait for the bathroom and take as much time as you want.
But it can be a drag when there is a good comedy on and no one laughs with you. A good football game and no one to high five.
AND YOU HAVE TO GET UP TO GET YOUR OWN REFILL ON DRINKS.
Whether you live alone or with someone, hopefully you are comfortable with this and peace be with you.

I used to and I loved it BUT I also eventually missed the social qualites of living with roomates. When you live alone you have a tough time breaking out of your work/friend social circle. With roommates it significantly increases the number of interactions - a good thing. I lived alone for two years and am now back with some roomies (aka drinkin buddies)

Yes, I live alone. My wife and I are divorced, and my children are both out on their own. I like it, because I can do what I want, when I want. If there is a movie on TV late at night, there is no one to tell me I can't stay up and watch. If I want to sleep late in the morning (I am retired), there is no one to get me up. On the other hand, I do miss having someone to come home to, someone to share coffee with in the morning, and someone to watch a movie with. I don't mind being alone, but there are times when I do miss having someone here to love.

I love it. Cause if something is broke I know who broke it, I pay all the bills so no surprises there. I enjoy coming home to just me. Dating wise it makes things alot simpler. So I just enjoy the freedom and cleanliness. I've had to many bad Expierences with Roomates. To many.

I'm half the week alone, half with my boyfriend. Both are good. On your own its nice to have space and potter around as you wish. With company its nice to share what's going on, talk, and get things done together.
For me, its the best of both worlds.
