Its hot up in Junction too. Pack for really hot weather it has been in the upper nineties. Cotton and natural fabrics are best because sometimes it can be quite humid. Sunscreen and a hat for sure we have a lot of sun. Wear comfortable shoes and stuff like tshirts and shorts. Thats all I wear.
People treat me the same here as anywhere else. Just smile and be friendly and people will do the same.
Even though San Antonio is growing by leaps and bounds it still has a laid back feel to it.
San Antonio is quite huge now. There many things to do here, like you said the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Seaworld which I can see from my backyard. You might like going to Schlitterban water park; its a blast and just a few miles up the road on IH35. Or you might enjoy tubing down the Guadalupe River. The restaurant at the tower of the America's has been renovated and the food is quite good. Museum of Modern Art is good. Hundreds of of hole in the wall Mexican food places with great food. Good Shopping. Mexico and The Gulf are about 150 miles away.
Luckybeetle welcomes you to San Antonio, have a great visit!

It's really hot! But everywhere has airconditioning set at like 68 so you go into these cool areas. I always bring a sweater cause I freeze indoors. Good way to get sick. Wear sneakers, too better for your feet. socks to soak up moisture and extra socks bring water shoes and flip flops and nice sandles too. Lots of shorts a pair of pants I like sundresses. It's very informal and laid back, just remember that it's not the desert. There are trees. The trees are not huge. It's sky country. July and August are in the upper 90's and lower 100's and 80's at night. Bring mosquito spray for night and lots of sunscreen for the day and use it!

It's been really hot. Depends on where you're coming from. If you're used to hot weather then it's not that different. Shorts are a good bet.
If you're coming to Texas, you have to visit Austin...it's only about an hour away from San Antonio!

Pack for really hot, humid weather. You can go casual. People will treat you very well. Really friendly. Except in Dallas. New York uppity wannabes.

1. It's hot, like the 90's during the day.
2. Tshirts and shorts, thin jeans, sundresses, sandals and such.
3. We're pretty much friendly folks although there's areas like anywhere where you should be careful going. We say hi, open and hold doors and such, generally polite folks.
