Do we all imagine ourselves? If we do imagine ourselves, why do some of us imagine ourselves to be bad?

Cogito ergo sum - Descartes ==> I think therefore I am. If you didn't think then you wouldn't be conscious of your own exsistence and therefore you wouldn't exist. Freud ==> The existence of others only come from being conscious of your own existence. Without knowing that you exist you cannot exist and therefore you cannot know that others exist.
As for imagining yourself as bad, your self image comes from your entourage, the people around you, but you could just be bad and know it, in that case you are not imagining it lol!
Also, image, material, form ==> How do you really know that a table looks like a table? How do you really know what you look like? Have you seen the matrix? If you have listen carefully to when Mouse talks about the breakfast that they are eating, it's such a great example, as is the whole film...

We are all figments of our own imaginations. Our imaginations let us form ideas about who we are and/or want to be. Sometimes our imaginations run away with us and take us down paths that we wish we couldn't imagine, but we did.

There is another part of us that are figments of other's imaginations. We imagine that our children are perfect, our mates love us unconditionally and a stranger's questions or answers will give us an exact idea of who that person really is.

Imagine that. Not only are you a figment of my imagination, but I'm a figment of yours as well.

Yes, I would, as long as you believe that I am a figment of yours.

We imagine ourselves in these temporary, ever changing, vulnerable bodies, living a life which is a glimmer of life between two immensities of darkness. It's no wonder we imagine ourselves as will o' the wisps ... we are!

I would be tempted to believe you. After all what evidence is there to show that you and every other thing in existence is nothing more than a figment of my imagination? What grounds do we have to rely on the data from our senses? Non really.

Maybe we're all part of imagination and creation of someone. Have you ever think of the human as something that doesn't exist at all, but we all imagine ourselves as we want to be? and that someone once said humans have legs, arms... just as we are and then everyone said it was true? and that's how we are?

Subconscious programming - it has no intellectual capacity to determine probable from improbable. Its much like a computers logic. It either is or to isn't. If you tell it something then so be it.
People are programmed every minute of the day to believe that they are bad - just listen to what yo hear everyday everywhere you go. That information is being fed to the subconscious as correct orders of data!

Can't exactly "prove" that you are real... have to assume so based on my experiences and knowledge structure.

Hard to imagine myself - just by imagining myself I somehow prove that I am real in some sort of sense. Imagining oneself to be bad could result from many issues - most of which would probably not be philosophical!

Only if you were a figment of my imagination!
Maybe you are and I am not really replying to this because it is just a figment of my imagination! I am really asleep, dreaming this!

How would I know you're a figment of my imagination and it's not that you're imagining me imagining you to be imaginary, therefore making my imagination that you're imaginary, your own imagination.
