Let me see...
Just my idea if you don't mind.
You can do that person a favor everday. (for about 1 week)
He/She will feel great about you then never ignore you again!

Yeah, that’s a particularly sensitive area for me since my father would ignore me as a child as a way to show his contempt. Being ignored still gets my blood pressure up in a hurry, and was the trigger for several altercations in my youth. As to getting back at them, well, I’m likely to get in their face, or if that isn’t an option, I might avoid and ignore them as well. Being ignored might be the thing I’m most likely to react too in an unconstructive way. Even gets me riled up writing this, good question!

That person either doesn't like you.... or they have some quirky personality issues. Either way, it doesn't sound like somebody who has a lot of promise as a friend to you.
My advice, if you wanted advice, is to re-direct your attention. Focus on somebody who doesn't do that to you.
Of COURSE, I would hate that! Who wouldn't?
Don't try to get them back... this could turn into a big war and you would gain an enemy, when what you REALLY want is a friend!!
FORGET about it and do something more healthy with your time and energy, please.
Just think how miserable and unhappy that person is!! You don't need to waste your time on that kind of stuff.

Why would you want to get them back if in fact you feel they are ignoring you on purpose. How about taking it with a grain of salt and be the bigger and better person by going on until this person realizes how wrong they are and speaks.....

People tend to dislike being ignored more than they dislike being called ugly names or argued with...one of the most effective ways to "get to" someone who is being ugly to you, is to ignore them, it's likely to drive them nuts because your attention (even negatively) is what they desired...
Just let it go...your apathy toward the situation will likely surprise them, and they may approach you due to your unexpected response...

Well my husband is an abusive asshole who gives me the silent treatment whenever he is mad over anything. It's a hurtful feeling because you do not feel valued as a human being, essecially when you haven't done anything wrong.
