government officials,religious ppl,and parents hated him. I feel it was because he wasn't afraid to talk about the"ugly" truths in life. they like to pretend none of those truths exist. What do u think?

I have a lot of respect for him in many different ways. He's not afraid to wear what he likes, or how he looks, and he's not afraid to speak his mind. listening to interviews of him really makes you take a step back, he's a very intelligent person, who knows what he's talking about.

I think he's a freak, but I like him. He's funny. He speaks the truth you're right... and he's not afraid of what people think. He is who he is, you accept it, or you don't. But the only one who will be upset about you not accepting him, will be you. I love that, and I think we could use more people in the world like him. He doesn't do anything wrong, but at the same time, does whatever he feels like, and doesn't worry about it. I applaud him for being who he wants to be. Not everyone can do that.

I saw him around all the time a the clubs in Fort Lauderdale Florida {squeeze ,reunion room ,plus 5 , button south , etc} before he made it big and spoke with him a few times and first hand he is a very smart guy who knows how to push the buttons on society he has executed his plan well

People don't like him because of the pressure put on today's society to fit in and be "normal"
but what is normal? Nobody is exactly alike in mind and body so why do people try. Maybe it was his image too and the whole "Antichrist" thing didn't go down too well either.How do people know what they like if they won't give new things a try?

Why are you talking about him in Past Tense?
He is not a stupid guy at all, however he does go for the shock factor that is his gimmick.
(and for the previous poster, Tainted Love is a great song originally sung by Soft Cell.... MM just did a remake, like several others have over the years).

I love to hear the man talk in interviews. Underneath all the funky makeup and clothes, he's a very intelligent and well-read man.
He might be a little bit crazy, but he's not stupid.

I love listening to him talk..he is one of the most intelligent men I have ever heard speak.
And really he knew that the acts he did on stage would scare the ever living piss out of people..and he did it for entertainment...he's a genius.
