remember the scene
when Deep's hat falls into the sea (after he see a black stain in his hand)
then hat goes goes at the sea and 2 pirates find it but they talk Turkish notice it?? then the sea swallows pirates
i just wonder why they talk turkish ?

I haven't seen the film but I see that scene on tv.I'm Turkish too.they are talking about the hat one of them says "hey ı found a hat so I'm the captain" and the other tries to take the hat and they are arguing about having the hat. If I remember correctly

They are so billed at the end: Turkish Sailor 1 and Turkish Sailor 2.
Maybe they got blown off course

Well, not everybody spoke English back then. It does seem odd that two Turks would be alone on a boat near the English-speaking island of Tortuga, but I'm sure it's possible that they have a friend who speaks their language, and they bring him supplies. Maybe. Try not to think about it too hard, otherwise you'll notice some plot holes

Are you sure they are talking Turkish? or just 2 American actors butchering Russian...one of the languages you can hear the movie in is Turkish, but for me, they were butchering Russian.

they were from another country because not all pirates are from england, as you will see in the next movie!! i don't think it was turkish....maybe they just picked a random launguage and were like "let's choose turkish" and no, it was probably not greek either!!!
and they were probably turkish traders who went to trade stuff on the island of tortuga!!!!!

i guess maybe it's supposed to represent the fact that there are pirates from all over in the seas? :/

i love that movie johnny depp and orlando bloom r beyond sexy! i don't know why they talk turkish though. i guess they just decided to do that or somethin.
