First, take really good care of your skin. That means washing it (not necessarily with soap, either, but with a cleanser meant for your type of skin: dry, normal, oily, combination). Then use a toner to remove any oiliness or leftover dirt that the cleanswer somewhow missed (also tailored to your type of skin). At your age, you won't need moisturizer.
Then, pick a foundation (if you want one, not every girl likes or needs them) that matches your skin color. Or instead of foundation, try a tinted concealing cream or lotion (in a tube or cake). Just to even out your skin tone. Blush next. It can be powder, gel, cream. Not too much, and only on the places you'd look "rosy," such as across the bridge of your nose; and your cheekbones. Color shouldn't be too strong or dark. Tailor it to your coloring.
Eyes: if you like eyeliner, don't overdo it w/thick black liner. It can be pencil or liquid or in a stick form. It really is only to make your lashes look thicker. Doesn't do that much to make eyes look larger. Mascara: can be brown, black, or even a color...up to you. There are so many to choose from: lengthening, thickening.
Shadow: should be light and in a color that flatters your coloring.
Lip gloss, too.
Your makeup shouldn't be the thing people comment on. You want it to enhance your looks, not call attention to them.
Good luck with high school. I'm sure you'll not only look great, but do well, too!!

A good foundation that is "noncomedogenic," meaning it doesn't cause acne or clog your pores, a single light shade of eyeshadow -- if your eyes are blue, go with light brownish tones; if your eyes are brown, a light pink or purple, and if you have hazel eyes, any color you want, but keep it light -- not white or bright, but light.
A nice gloss is also good; you don't want lipstick rubbing all over your teeth. Also a lighter shade, like a nice pink or a nice neutral tone. And if you'd like, a very soft shade of blush over your cheekbones swept up into your hairline.
You want to look natural. Makeup should enhance your natural beauty, not be your beauty, know what I mean? Darker, bolder colors are for outtings at night.
The way to really get noticed is to look naturally beautiful, where everybody is looking at YOU and not your makeup.
Hope this helps!

Always cleanser your face before and after school (keep those pores clean). Try a wet/powder foundation, you know those ones that go on wet but dry to a nice powder finish. Lots of mascara (but not the waterproof ones) and a natural pink or bronze blush depending on your complexion. Then to finish the look a great nude lipstick with a great gloss on top or built in. Touch up with a pressed powder at the end of lunch, but don't be late for class.....glamour girl. Enjoy high school and be smart

I'm going to be a freshman too this year! My routine is concealer if I have any pimples, powder, a light rose pink blush, black eye liner on my lower lashes only, curl my lashes, eye shadow, mascara on the bottom and top lashes, and then some clear gloss. It looks natural but still gives you coverage and and enhances your best fetchers. If your going to wear make up you especially need to take care of your face.

You should start with a cleanser, for school, you need something easy to use that doesn't make a big mess, so I would try Olay Daily Facials Self Foaming Disks. They're textured on one side to exfoliate and smooth on the other for sensitive skin.
Next I would recommend using Maybelline Pure Makeup Foundation, because it doesn't look like you're wearing a mask, just like you have an even skin tone, plus it adds moisture to your skin.
You should use a clear mascara such as Covergirl Natural Lash and Brow Mascara, because it adds shine and separates the lashes, without looking overly dramatic. I wouldn't recommend eyeliner, but if you do want to use it only put on a little bit.
You should put on some powder eyeshadow. For brown eyes try green or gold, for blue eyes try orange or peach, for green eyes try purple or copper, and for hazel eyes try a lighter blue or olive green color. Just be careful that it looks neat.
Some blush wouldn't hurt, use a powder blush if you have normal to oily skin and cream blush for dryer skin, just don't over apply it, and don't let it streak.
The finishing touch should be a coat of lip gloss. For fair skin and light hair, try pinks or peaches, for fair skin and medium to dark hair, try a red or coral color, for olive skin and medium to dark hair try red or brown shades, for light brown skin and dark medium or light hair try natural earth tones with gold infused in them and for dark skin and dark hair try rich deep colors like plums and red. Or if you're lips naturally have a lot of color in them just use a really glossy shiny lipgloss!
I know it sound like a lot, but I do all that and once you get used to the routine it only takes me about 10-15 minutes. :)

I'm going into HS this year too. All I do is take a shower then throw some gel in my hair and scrunch it, let it dry. I do up my eyes with a dark purple liquid eye liner that looks like a smoke color when it dries. Eye shadow and lip gloss and I'm done.

dont go overdramatic like youre going to a party. wearing natural makeup is best. wear some eyeliner and a little bit of mascara. and you can use eyeshadow but not dramatic colors. and lip gloss is best for school.

Sorry, I am on my aunt's account.
I am a sophomore in high school, and we hate girls who try to hard so don't! lol.
Here's the basics-
Concealer - for those nasty pimples
foundation- if you have any pimples to cover the concealer
powder- use everyday pimples or not!
eyeliner- in a black just on the bottom of the eye
eyeshadow- tan or light pink
mascara- brown or black you chose
thats it.
