Th sites I have read confirm the sexual harrasment rumors.
It had to be something of that magnitude. He was polling very high on the show and as an analyst for ESPN.

I really liked him. But it seems like he wont be on TV for a good long while if ever at all.

I was surprised when I found out he was fired for reasons other than his on-air performance. He had very poor speaking skills on air. If he was on the show "Dream Job", he would have been cut. In order to be a good candidate for baseball tonight, you have to not only know the game well (which he did), but you have to be able to speak without tripping over your words. He was always stammering, combining syllables, and making lame arguments. Oral Hersheiser would make a great replacement. Oral makes sound arguments, and, (here's the biggest thing), he can speak. He knows how to navigate his tongue throughout his whole mouth. He knows just how to make meaningful sounds by
pressing his tongue against his teeth and using his voice box to produce sounds that have symbolic meaning to those listening to him (maybe that's how he got the name "Oral"). In that way, we understand the thoughts occuring within his brain. These are skills HR lacked.

Personally, I think that the network wanted him out. They got their hands on a lame sexual harassment complaint and pounced on it as their chance to axe him.

I did not know he got fired, and just read the deadspin scoop that someone sent. It's not for me to ump to any conclusions about the innuendo, and I can only judge HR for what he put out on the air. I definitely always have liked his insight and his personality. If this is true, then it's a shame.

curiously there have been numerous warnings. it fairly is why they did not watch for him to "have his day in court docket." a employer will infrequently hearth an worker with no written caution or some type of documentation exhibiting that the worker changed into made attentive to a grievance. this saves them from any type of wrongful termination lawsuit.

Two major thumbs down to the firing. ESPN is making me not want to watch much of their programming anymore.
