There is a problem in alaska, its freezing in winter, does any one know how petco gets there animals here?, i do, i work for them, they fly them in a cargo hold. its -60 in winter, they all die. I have been trying to stop this, but they will not listen. I cant have cam at work and managers stand over you when reciving animals, I realy need some help. please, if anyone has pictures of PETCO animals please send to me at alaskanboy_1yahoo.com. I would bring them to the attention of the media here, I am sure that will help, actualy i know it will, they will stop shipping here, because common scence says they are freezing to death, just dont think that most people think about how animals get to alaska.

if any one out there works for county human society and can call the fairbanks animal control, and get the pounds of animals discarded from the last 10 monthes, i know i have taken 30 pnds myself, and thats alot considering there small animals, mice exet, birds, reptiles

Contact your local newspaper and leave an anonymous tip. They will be glad to follow a story like that and be able to track down former employees for their story.

i don't think it. airways gained't deliver even as it is less than freezing a lot less that some distance less than freezing. in the adventure that they are all freezing to lack of existence they does no longer *have* animals to promote. It would not do any sturdy to the contact peta and hsus - they have been after puppy shops for years with fake statements and the backlash to it truly is few believe it anymore. trouble-free experience says even as it is about earnings they don't seem to be going to take possibilities to lose $$. blended with airways no longer shipping animals in shipment I question if you're in alaska and/or fairly artwork for petco...or only right here to slam them lower back. With human beings drawing close right here bragging about stealing from them i don't think the anti-petco stuff anymore. there is only been too many lies.

As for what Brooklyn said it is all not true!!! I am a Pet Care Manager in training for PetSmart in VA. I love all the animals there as if they were my own. When one of my people is doing something wrong or harmfull I get pissed. Im sure not all employees of pet shops think that way but dont classify us all in one catagory! I dont smash bird eggs, we let them hatch.
I agree with you that the petco that you work for needs to be stopped. Its stupid to even think of shipping animals to Alaska!!! I hope you find the proof you need to stop them!
I know not everyone agrees with pet stores but think before you act or say things you dont know anything about. Your up against a big corporation that could bury you so get all your ducks in a row before you act.
One thing Brooklyn said I do agree with is dont call PETA unless its your last resort!!!!

WELL THE FIRST THING YOU NEED TO DO IS GET SOME INSIDE INFORMATION AND SOLID PROOF. SEND IT TO THE HSUS'S INVESTIGATORS AND ONLY AS A LAST RESORT CONTACT PETA(I AM TOTALLY AGAINST PETA BECAUSE THEY BELEIVE THAT PITBULLS HAVE LESS RIGHTS TO LIFE THEN COCKAROACHES! ITS NOT JUST GOSSIP IVE SEEN THE LETTERS!). WHAT YOU DID HERE WAS A FIRST STEP... BUT UNFORTUNATELY PETSTORES HAVE BEEN DOING IRRESPONSIBLE STUFF IN THEIR LINE OF WORK FOREVER.
PETSMART SMASHES THE EGGS AND MURDERS ANY BABY BIRDS THAT HATCH FROM THEIR CAGES. I UNDERSTAND THE EGGS BUT I DONT AGREE WITH IT BUT WHEN I HEARD FROM A PETSMART EMPLOYEE THAT THEY HAD TO KILL A BIRD THAT SICKENED ME! PETCO HAS ALWAYS HAD ISSUES WITH THEIR UPKEEP OF REPTILES AND PROPER CARE. THEIR EMPLOYEES WHO HANDLE THESE ANIMALS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A IGUANA AND A WATER DRAGON. IN PETSMART THEY HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO KEEP UROMASTYX IN CAGES WITH ONLY 85 DEGREE HEAT! THIS SPECIES NEEDS OVER 110 DEREES AS IT IS A DESERT DWELLER....
THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE THINGS I HAVE NOTICED... BUT BEFORE YOU MAKE A REAL ACCUSATION GET PROOF. FIND OUT YOUR STATES LAWS OF RECORDING PEOPLE AND BRING A MINI RECORDER TO WORK AND TALK ABOUT THEIR PRACTICES WITH A MANAGER. GET PICTURES, GET DOCUMENTATION.... BE INFORMED BEFORE YOU JUMP INTO THIS STORM....

everything that brooklyn said is perfect. do that and you'll be on the right track. people sending you pictures from other stores will not prove that unethical treatment you shared with us. i wish i could take our petco to court just by the way they take care of the reptiles here, but transporting them at -60 is idiotic. documentation, documentation, documentation. This will beat any lawyer if its true.
