Medical school, if you have the passion and right attitude, is fun and promising. The whole task of going through the 4 years involves a lot of lecture hours, lab work, a lot of memorizing facts to do, long and gruelling study hours, lots of exams. In terms of intensity...it is probably the most intense in terms of dedication of money, time and effort among all the disciplines in this world. In medical school, you will encounter a lot of people who have the same dreams as you are, although different personalities. You will have to let go of some aspect of your social life in exchange for long study hours. But then as I have said, if you are really bent on being a doctor, go for it !!! I never had any regrets going through it.
