No , I do not think our government ( Australian ) , is doing enough to rescue and move our citizens out of these war torn countries and areas.
A number of these citizens are at the various locations around the world , on holidays , work related holidays etc.
It would be a completly different question , and a compltelyt different ball game, if these residents had gone over, knowing that the countries were in such a bad situation.
I do think , that unless one of our Politicans was one of the citizens in danger in one of the war torn areas, than they do not try as hard as they possibly could.
Our government had better realise , and hopeuflly soon , that these people that they are turning there backs on , will end up , having the final say , at the Elections.

I think that there is no good government in our world so I think they want us die that's there only wish but they survive their citizens because they are afraid from the media.
ooh .....don't look at me like that ....when you live under the Arab governments roof you will understand it.
ya I wish all the Arab governments to deleted but I'm not with the American solution for the middle east

The media is giving the US government a lot of crap about not getting people out fast enough, although the media gives the government crap about everything. They have evacuated several thousand already, so I think they are doing a great job.

here in canada, our government rescued tens of thousands of these people, and when they got back alot of them complained....."Oh there was no a/c on the boat....the food was not tasty....some of us got sea sick..." Not just one but several of these people went to the media to complain, there trip back to canada was free of charge for them, us canadians backhome paid the bill with our tax dollars. Personally i am sickened that our government would pay to bring these people back when it seems they are not grateful at all. When you do things like this it spoils people, and the way these people reacted was like spoiled brats! They should be grateful yet they complain. I am disgusted!

This answer could make people angry with me but it is my opinion. The people who travelled to those countries need to get out by themselves. I don't beleive my hard earned dollar should go for that. We have starving people here who can't even afford to travel. Let's worry about that first.

Yeah, being Lebanese in Lebanon, I don't think my government is doing much about getting me out of here! Glad all you foreigners are now safe, just us left to catch the bombs. We'll be fine. Thanks for all your help now, see you after it has all finished!
