A nokia or motorola would be the most reliable phone. Cingular may have MORE coverage, but it's crappy coverage. T-Mobile has less coverage, but it's top nop service in the cities and along the highways...go ask them to show you a PCC, they can show you exactly where they have coverage and how well your phone will work in any area. Their customer service is excellent too, they'll kiss your *** for you, literally, well not literally, but you get what I mean, they go the extra mile. To anyone who has had a problem with them it's only because you were probably a problem customer.

Nokia's are practically indestructible! Mine has been dropped, thrown, submerged -- you name it! I have had it for four years (ancient in terms of technology!) and it has never let me down (nor has t-mobile and their customer service rocks!).

if you like TMobile and the service that they provide... why not go with someone else who runs off the same technology and has a much wider coverage area.... TRY CINGULAR!!!!
