Blade.
Wesley Snipes raised the profile of this secondary comic-book character to heights I never would have imagined. Well written (David S. Goyer) and directed (Stephen Norrington). Stephen Dorff was a terrific villain. Excellent supporting cast. Hip soundtrack. Great opening!

It has to be Spiderman 1 and 2 without a doubt for me! They are the most successful comic based movie and i enjoy watching them regularly. However it looks like it is now in competition with Superman Returns, plus the original Superman with Christopher Reeve was a big blockbuster as well back in the days i loved them. That Batman movie with George Clooney was awful as i remember it. There's also X-men which is brilliant.
So i reckon critics would say its a battle between Superman, Spiderman and X-men. Spiderman is my favourite super hero!

In my opinion, the best Super-Hero film/films that have been made are the X-Men trilogy.
The others that I've seen are too stuck in their Comic roots.
There's nothing wrong with that but when a film looks too much like 2D animation that a proper 3D film and lacks the ability to connect with Real World perceptions - like most decent films can - then the Scriptwriter, Director, Actors and Special Effects Crew have not done their jobs properly.
The issues in X-Men - persecution of minority groups and the desire to find acceptance for example - are issues tackled very well and in such a manner that the audience can relate them to the Real World and, perhaps, do something about solving Real World issues.
That's what I think anyway :-)

Howard the Duck! Classic movie...I have not seen the new superman movie yet but out of the original set Superman 2 was the best. And Batman begins is up there too.

I am not really into superhero films but I did think that the latest Batman film was very good. The Spiderman are quite good. [I took the kids]

Even though it is a tv series and not a movie I must say "Jeremiah" staring Luke Perry. Great show based on a comic book.

It's gotta to be Spiderman, just for consistency and staying true to the comic
