Who didn't read it?!? I think Dumbledore is really alive. Remember how Dumbledore came to the Weasleys near the beginning of the book and warned them that Voldemort's followers had found a way to duplicate others. He told them to come up with a password so they can identify each other. But nothing more was said through the rest of the book. Wouldn't he have told Harry that if it was really Dumbledore later? And he never would explain how his hand got like it did. I think it was really Wormtail--his hand was made of silver, so maybe it was harder to perform the spell on that, and the silver hand turned out like that. I'll never believe that Snape is truly good. It was just too convenient for him to leave the Death Eaters just before Voldemort disappeared the first time. I think he doesn't truly want to kill Harry (remember when he was trying to ward off the spell during the Quidditch match?), but I do think he's like to make trouble for Harry whenever he can.

I think Dumbledore's definitely dead, but I also think that he left many pieces of himself behind in the living world so that he can still communicate with Harry (i.e. the portrait in his office, chocolate frog cards, the penseive, etc.)
Snape's not evil.
There's only two options here: either Dumbledore was dumber than we thought for trusting Snape, or he's much wiser than we thought for planning such an elaborate strategy to get closer to Voldemort. Which one is more likely? Likely Dumbledore is smarter than it seems, and we'll have to wait for the next book to find out exactly what his plan was.

I do think that snape was working for Dumbledore, however I also think Dumbledore is really dead. I think the importance was for Snape to keep Draco from killing Dumbledore.

I totally agree!! Snape had to kill Dumbledore...he had magically promised to not let anything happen to Drako. I love Snape and I think he's really good inside. I know he hates Harry, but on the whole, Snape is still trying to help defeat Voldemort. I can't wait for the 7th book!!

Soon we will all know how Jo's mind really works. Only about a year left. Pray it goes by faster than we think it will.
