I need some make-up tips. I have a professional job that requires me to wear it and quite frankly if I don't, I look like a corpse. My make-up routine has become SO boring. I use foundation set with powder, a little blush, a shimmery white shadow just below the brow and then a shimmery brownish-gold color on the rest of my eyelid. Finish with mascara. I never look done up. I used to wear eyeliner but it makes me eyes look small and I tend to over do it. My lips are thin so I don't wear lipstick cause I feel it emphasizes their thinness. Any ideas on what I should do? Colors I should use? I have blonde hair and green eyes so I always thought I should use neutral tones but I want to look fresh and done without being overdone. I mostly want my eyes to really POP! Please someone who is good with make-up give me some advice and ideas. Thanks!

Start with a good night cream every night. Make sure you cleanse your skin before and after work. With green eyes you should wear a great smoky brown (Matte) colour (blend well with a professional make-up brush). If you think eyeliner makes your eyes smaller, line only the outer-corners, this will make your eyes pop! Eyeliner is important to your polished professional look so experiment and apply thinly. Continue to highlight under the brow, good step....Make sure your brows are shaped well....Wear non waterproof mascara in midnight brown....If you think your lips are thin, line them with a lipliner in a neutral tone and wear a lipstick in your favorite colour on top....Most importantly, wear lipgloss in the centre of your lower and upper lip...A great pink or brown lipstick is fabulous for your eye and hair colour scheme. Try a wet/dry high pigmented foundation powder, stay away from liquid foundation if you can....Your right, experiment with different eyeshadow colours,,,,,go for a free beauty counter consultation...Finally, if you have not already done so, invest in a set of professional make-up brushes...this will give you a polished look at work everyday!!!! Enjoy the job as a glamour girl

You should try lip gloss...it makes your lips look thicker. Or lipstick with lipgloss over it in the center of your bottom lip. You don't use blush? Are you tan? Probably need some color there, but don't over-do it. I suggest a peach. And the white shadow might be a bit outdated....try other colors, but maybe not for the office. If you have green eyes try a green or a dark brown. Always stick w/ the mascara. Try just using eyeliner on the edge of your upper lid...sweep it outward (just a bit) toward your temple. Good luck!

I'm assuming from the cartoon picture you chose that you are blond.

Try "Park Avenue Princess" by Beauticontrol

This company sells makeup in sets if you choose and that way you don't go wrong with your color combinations.

The Park Avenue set is #12604...Eye shadow, Eye liner, Blush, Lip pencil, and lipstick

Apply the lighter pink to the entire eye.
Apply the darker shade to the outer corner of the upper lid and in the crease of your lid. Don't worry about being perfect.
Apply a little darker pink along the lower lid as much in the lashes as you can get.
(This is wear make-up brushes really help)
Apply the liner along the top lid and then smudge with your finger so it doesn't look over done. Don't do the entire lid if it makes your eyes look smaller. Just do the outer half. Thicker from the outside and thinner to the inside half of the upper lid. Put liner in the lashes of the lower lid and smudge a bit witht he shadow brush. (Gives you a smokey kinda look)
Line the lips lightly as close to the edge as you can get without going pass the lips (don't want to look like a clown) Go light.
Apply lipstick to entire uppper and lower lip, and then a tiny bit of lipgloss (any brand CoverGirl has some nice gloss) just in the center of the upper and lower lip. This creates a visual illusion that your lips are a bit fuller.

Apply blush just on the apples of your cheeks if your face isn't too round or plump. Find them by grinning in a very exaggerated way. The bumbps created on either side of your nose are the apples of your cheeks.

If it is round then apply in the hollows of your cheeks from the center or your face to the cheek bone upward. Make a fish face and follow the hollow part you make in your cheeks.

Use the blush brush to smudge eye shadow and blend it for a dreamy look.

If you want to know about other make-up here are some more tips.

The Wet/Dry foundation is awesome. It's easy to apply, goes on light, and can be used as a powder later if you get shiney without caking. Apply Extra Help concealer to the dark circles, red places on your face, uneven skin tones and dark pigments. Blend it a little and then apply the Wet/Dry foundation. Apply it dry with the sponge provided or dampen the sponge slightly!!! for a more flawless look.

To determine what colors will suit you best, try the Mary Kay Virtual Makeover. It's helped a lot of people! What you do is select the model that best represents your skin tone and eye color. Then you mix and match the colors that they give you to create a complete look. Once you've done that, I would suggest going to the Application Tips section to see step by step instructions on correctly applying your makeup. What most people do not realize is that there are different ways of applying eyeshadow based on the type of eyes you have. This site will demonstrate the different techniques for that too. I hope all of this helps!

i might be of some use to you im going to school to be a cosmotologist. Starting with your face you might try a peach blush with a little bronzer. NEVER a stick if your pale. If you have a dark complexion try just a bronzer. Now your eyes. I have green eyes too. I use a black liner on top and bottem and ussually a green shaddow. i know this sounds weird but green is the best color for you in eyeshadow. try max factor three color blend with orange green and yellow or rimmel london in mint green. i have big eyes but since yours are small you might try a little bit of black eyeliner right under your lower lid. it will make them pop. if you have long eyelashes just try curling them if they are short i recomend maybeline intnese xxl volumizing mascara. Now to your lips...try a plumper if you dont like your small lips. I think small lips are elegant. Try a liner to define them and then a colored gloss. Not too dark though. I hope you find this useful.

ok first off you want to make your eyes pop they should already beacause they're beautifuly green.
first use a light foundation.
second use a white eyeliner or a beige one to the bottom so that your eyes seem bigger black makes your eye look small and the white and beige make them big.
ok use a light eyeshadow if needed. [[or if your going out with friends or an occasion use shades opposite to your eyecolor.]]
to make your eyes pop even more after the liner curl lashes and use a black mascara. [[Black]] so that your eyes are radiant.
if you say you lips are small and thin dunt wear alot of eye makeup i suggest just the liner and mascara and go with a bigger pop on the lips try a lipliner to make them stand out and a nice shade of lip color if you dont like lipstick use a shaded gloss. it will make them pop. if you dont think that is enough you can always buy a lip plumper. there are many available now at many department stores or even GNC or BATH AND BODY WORKS.

anything else your welcome to email me
