It's a cycle. In the 60s and 70s it was 'cool' to be a Liberal. Then in the 80s there was a backlash because Democrats had been in power too long and hadn't really accomplished much. Now Republicans have been in power too long and there is a growing backlash against them, particularly amongst young people which is where such things always come from.
Then again the cycle may just break this time since Conservatives used to be about small government, small spending and low taxes. Now they clearly don't mind big government (Bush's largest expansion of gov't since the creation of the DoD) and big spending (largest deficits ever) so all that's left is taxes. It's not much to build an ideology on. In fact, it's nothing at all.

Not afraid of anything. However, I am tired of liberal elitism and that whole thing of thinking they are the chosen few. Arrogance and a perfected demeanor of condescension seem to be be two prerequisites of so many liberals and Democrats. They are no different than the rest of us, until you ask them. Then you'll hear how wonderful they are. How great they are. How full of themselves they are. When indeed, as a cross-section of people goes, I honestly believe they are less honest and immoral than the average American today.
Just take a look at our last President. What a sleeze-ball and disgrace to this country! And, continues to be!

One thing to remember is that most republicans are extremely unintelligent. The vast majority of red states have low education standards. Most conservatives are in complete denial.
They like to think that they are right and everyone that disagrees is wrong. They absolutely refuse to accept the fact that THEY are the ones ruining the world and causing all the problems.
You are exactly right, Bush and the repubs are in charge. They are the ones ruining everything America is about. Republicans cannot accept that, so they turn to immature logic. Blaming everyone else for their problems. Instead of realizing that they ARE the problem themselves.
That is how morons like Bush stay in power. Too many naive republicans.

Simple.
The Democratic ideal is the re-distribution of assets.
Would you be in favor of working for your Master's degree and then taking home a net income equal to a guy with a High School education? I'd guess you wouldn't. But, Liberal Democrats would favor this; they want those with higher incomes to subsidize everyone else.
If everyone receives the same wage, then no one is encouraged to exert himself. No one is spurred to make a fortune in business. And, indeed, why bother? The government will only take it away.
I am in favor of a government that has enough faith in me as an individual to give generously to charities...which I do. I reject a government that compels contributions from me, and distributes it as the government sees fit, without asking my opinion or preference.
That's *my* objection.

It gives us something to do in our free time, and it's not just Democrats, it's every Government official and Politician. The day when you can't badmouth somebody for not knowing what their doing at all is when you run for their position, then win it, then find out you know just a little bit more than they did, and that's enough.

I don't. I love Democrats. Republicans are the one who ruin everything. Look at our great leader President Bush. He happens to turn our Surplus into Debt in a matter of a few years. I bet its going to be the democrat’s job to clean up this big mess that our republican president made for years to come.

Nafta replaced into handed in the course of the Clinton administration. I easily have blended thoughts residing in TX it is hugh to our economic device and the Trans TX hall is being outfitted because of the open commerce by way of Nafta. i noticed very last evening listening to Obama communicate in Houston- and Clinton communicate in Ohio that Nafta is extra common in TX and has no longer been helpful in Ohio. we choose a good hardship-free experience attitude to those complicated topics that we are dealing with. Outsourcing is a situation no longer purely Nafta or production our finanical centers are sending jobs out, engineers face competion from less expensive exertions it is everywhere. there is not any pat answer for each of the pieces that are damaged the conflict, well being care, debt, veteran topics, greenback spiral, climate change. we've a range of of artwork to do at the same time this is probably unable to be purely the President it ought to be our human beings, our congress, the senate, state governments operating at the same time to opposite those issues. VOTE 2008!

I just wish the conservatives and liberals spent less time bashing each other and more time solving problems (e.g. Job loss, poverty, education, environment, etc.).
If these political parties spent a tenth of the time they spent on bashing towards solving real problems this country would be in much better shape.
