You have to get an IT certification first.. And if you need experience I advise you to join CISCO Systems and you'll be enrolled in the IT Essential 1 Hardware and Software the labs are good and you'll acquire good experience!!

in your case you will probably have to start at a lower end(over qualified position) to get where you want to go. right now i am in college for my b.s. in computer science - i was going full speed with the stuff at school, until my 3rd yr where i slowed down and am now in the field getting ex. at the same time. i think that might have been your problem if you did more concentration of you school and not getting experience. for some reason in business you need a degree and experience all at the same time. but how do you get it if no one is willing to take you? that is what i don't understand.

Start your covers letters like so:

Thinking of outsourcing? A decent Indian programer will cost you about $25 to 35K a year, and you have to deal with the strange hours and lack of control.

I can offer you a better situation for the same money for the first 6 months. There will be no language issues, my hours are the same as yours, and you will have full knowledge of the state of the project. No second-guessing.
