As mad as it sounds i have degus which are causing strain on my relationship. I have tried everything to stop them from chewing at night, and also from kicking their bedding and poo out of the cage and onto the floor. Really I am just after anybodies advise/help as to where to go/what to do next

Buy them a glass aquarium with mesh lid and remove the wheel at night. They will eventually chew through the plastic eventually anyway. If you give them some tunnels and stuff they will play with them rather then with the cage out of boredom.

I've no idea what to do about them, but you've really put me off getting some! I've got a friend who was asking if I wanted some of her degus' babies.

Ok, I give up. What is a degus? If they don't make much noise why not chain them up outside?

Different kind of cage? One with higher sides?
How about putting them in a different room than yours?
