Well, it obviously depends upon your musical taste - but based on sales, the "best" song of all time is "Candle in the Wind 97" by Elton John. "Yesterday" by the Beatles is the most "covered" song of all time, so that apparently appeals to lots of folks too.

One of the best songs ever is Hells Bells by AC/DC because they wrote it for Bon Scott and that was the FIRST song hey wrote after he died and Numorous SOAD songs are amazing like The Prison Song, BYOB,Toxicity, and Violent Pornography.
