it depends, it changes everytime you age!!
when you first are married, its about 3-5
when you're about 60...you probably dont

Today is my 8th Wedding Anniversary.... 5 days ago was our 17th yr. 'together anniversary'.
We are 3 1/2 years apart and High School sweeties. We were friends first, then friends with benefits, then a couple, now we are a family & best friends still benefiting greatly! ; )
We always had great sex and were 'participating' 3-5 times a day, back in our day, when we had a lot more energy. Now, we are still enjoying great sex.... even greater, actually.... on an average of 2-3 times a week. ((like the other woman said, sometimes we may go without sex, filling our lives with other important stuff, but then we will be insatiable for a week or so~1 word~Jackrabbits))
It wasn't the great sex that was our foundation, but the friendship that we built upon. The sex was an added bonus!
Communication = Best Friends = BEST SEX EVER!

I'm not married, but have been in a serious relationship for 5 years. We're lucky to have a really amazing sex life. We started out around 2-3 times per day, every day! Now, we've dwindled, but we still have a great sex life. We have sex around 6 times per week. :)
