My offices have approximately 80 people working during normal office hours. Their ages range from 20 to 60 across both sexes. One lady is pregnant. There are a multitude of large noisy fans across the floorspace. This temperature has been maintained for around 4 weeks. We are not deskbound, and do walk around between offices carrying files. Thank you for any answers

You may have a legal case for not coming into work! Employers are obliged to keep the workspace at a sensible temperature, though I'm not sure how this affects you if you're not deskbound. Does your job normally take you into any areas that are at a reasonable temperature?

Seriously, you should look into it!

I doubt any health problems would exist as a result of the temperature in your office. A few health problems could be exacerbated by temperature extremes, like hypertension. Lupus also tends to be exacerbated by such extremes. But of itself, temperature does not CAUSE health problems.

I would avoid any menopausal or perimenopausal women in the office if I were you. At temperatures like that they are at severe risk of going POSTAL. To protect your life, offer them ice cold drinks like slurpies or slushies whenever they get that look in their eye! And just to be fair - so's not to embarrass them everyone should have as many trips to the water fountain and ice cold drinks as possible.

here in DUBAI spare a thought for the construction workers who are outside in the sun at temps up to 49 C.The temp never gets to 50C because if it did they would be sent home!
i notice that they walk and move very slowly and drink lots..
I feel very very sad to see them working in this heat from my a/c controlled jeep or apartment but they seem to be building lots and its amazing what the human body can adjust to.hope this isnt stating the obvious but..........
If I were in your position i would wear a very small vest top and light linen or cotton skirt and open sandals.i would buy an "evian" atomiser or" magicool" to spray myself with and take lots to drink not coffee or tea.i dont know if you will be harmed physically but high temps effect mood ,people are more likely to become angry or irritable and lethargic!dehydration causes mood swings and irrational behaviour.
could you ask the management that in the light of this they would allow more short breaks or rewards?like ice lollies for everyone!could you take some in for your team?stay positive!
hope this helps,take care

Well, if it is a warehouse type of deal and no A/C is available, than oh well, that's the nature of the job. But if its in a building and AC is available, than you should talk to the management.
