I have the same problem. I have to fax papers over for my job and it can get expensive. 1st page is $2.00 then $1.00 a page after that. When you have 25-30 papers to fax, thats a bundle! A friend told me to buy a cheap fax machine for home. You can plug it into your phone line when you need to use it and it's only a phone call charge (you can fax as many papers as you want to one number and is still 1 phone call charge). I bought a fax machine on sale at Staples or you can check out Walmart, Target, etc. for specials. You may have to shell out the money at first but it'll be worth it in the long run.

If you really need it done, you can do this:
Go to staples, buy a fax machine and then fax whatever it is that you need to fax.. then return it and tell them you weren't satisfied by the quality of the faxer.
It's a hassle, but if you must, then there you go.
Or you can always ask a friend with a fax machine :D

Several sites appear on this list:
http://www.savetz.com/fax/
It's also possible to send "free" faxes simply by subscribing to a flat-rate telephone service (such as http://www.vonage.com )
There are lots of government and private self-help organizations that let business start-ups send faxes for free.
