Why would you give them any of your personal info? And yes it could be dangerous, but it all depends on what you gave them .Learn from this and don't do it again.

why did you open their emails? i never open emails from someone i don't know or didn't ask for.
they can steal your identity, empty your bank account, max out your credit cards and a whole slew of other things
