It doesn't have to be exactly the same colour, but its better if you dont use for example red nail polish on fingernails and sth like lets say purple or green on your toe nails. Although you can say its summer everything looks good especially if you wear it will lot of self-conscious!

Yup... I know quite a few women who wear a more daring colour on their toes though- they can't get away with it on their fingernails because their work doesn't allow them.
I'm too lazy to reach for another colour and I'm weird and obsessive. I have to match!

Not always the exact color, but definitely the same color scheme, like if I have dark blue on my toes, I'll put light blue on my nails, etc. :)
