Why is the word 'bass' edited out in the radio version of "Deja Vu" by Beyonce and Jay-Z?

In the beggining of the song, when Jay-Z is rapping.

it was probably @ss.it just sounds like bass.

It can't be because it rhymes with ***. Oh I know they were fishing see........and they thought they caught a bass but it was really a pickerel and they couldn't think of anything to rhyme with pickerel. YES!!!!!!!! I know because everyone thinks they are saying ***! Ebonics is the cause of this I bet.

i dont know...
but i liked to...
i printed out te lyrics && they were clean..
but they still censored a lot of the words
