On the heels of Harold Reynold's untimely departure, please nominate some sports people that should be fired.

I nominate Steven A. Smith due to his anger
as well as Tim McCarver & Joe Buck due to the fact that they have no idea what they are talking about.

I agree with Soxfan and Blulinr that Gammons should run everything to do with baseball, and Joe Morgan should be shown the door (and check out that FireJoeMorgan link - hilarious).

As for Stephen A. Smith, he should be fired just based on the fact that he's a one-trick pony, all style and absolutely no substance. I'm not even sure that he's all that angry, but just does it because it helps make up for the fact that he really doesn't know much about anything outside of the NBA.

Joe Morgan. Check out this site:http://firejoemorgan.blogspot.com/

Among the many observations there:

Joe often times doesn't have an opinion about a team because "he hasn't seen them play enough". Um, he's a baseball analyst...isn't that his job?

When comparing two players, many times his answer is "it's hard to tell, I'm not sure". OK, maybe...but aren't you being paid to offer an opinion?

He's so closed minded about modern statistics and concepts (especially "Moneyball"), he's said he "can't learn anything from someone who has never played the game".

Plus the whole annoying thing about his TV work and every statement starting out with the phrase, "Well, when I played..."

No Stephen A Smith should not be fired, he is the man! He is not angry, he just a very Passionate about sports. He's one of the best sports journalists out there, and his show is one of the best shows on tv right now.

Stephen A. Smith - its "ph", not "v" by the way - used to be a writer of integrity. Now, he is mostly a windbag using a trusted formula to entertain.

Once more, ESPN destroys virtually everything that it touches.

get rid of brantley, the baseball guy on espn. he's sooooooo slow... almost like baseball. maybe if espn got rid of the good baseball guys, baseball will get less popular and stop becoming america's past-time. (football has recently become america's past-time

keep steven a. he brings passion to the basketball world
