she got adopted by a famous guy which started it all. (lionel richie) then she was Paris' best friend which made her more famous. The she co-starred on the simple life. then she got a makeover and danngerously skinny which boosted her fame. then she got in a fued with paris which got her into the tabloids. she also wrote a book (the truth about diamonds)
