Is the turbo kicking in? I think it should come in around 3000rpm. If not is the exhaust smoking. If so ur turbos f*cked. If not its most likely airflow meter or the waste gate valve is stuck. If its waste gate valve, the turbo will sometimes work, if its the airflow meter it won't work at all. Airflow meter is the most common complaint on the 1.9 TDi. Costs bout £130 to replace.

Difficult to answer without knowing the mileage of the car. Take it to a garage that specializes in tuning engines, they will tell you if something serious is occurring.

Change the fuel filter, change the air filter and drop in good fuel (premium) and a bottle of injector cleaner- the good stuff, not store brand. Run it for a few days and see if it helps...

could be your catalictic converter as this happened to mine. breaks up inside and causes a restictive flow on exhaust gases.
thus giving the car a very slow accleration speed.

have your cat converter checked, this could be blocking your exhaust therefore your car will not release its maximum compression. The best thing to do is have it checked out at a garage.
