I think this is a loaded question, not to mention that when someone says but it really means ok forget whatever came before this because here comes the truth. The only part of the sentence that is important is what comes after but and sometimes I think you don't know what those limits are until they smack you in the face. Yes you can draw some lines in the sand but depending on how complicated life gets the lines get blurry sometimes. I'm not good at taking crap from people and I tend to be of the belief that loved ones should be the last people that give it to you, so I don't stick with the usual theories of putting up with stuff or forgiving stuff because they are 'family', I see that as an even bigger offense than one committed by a stranger. I think saying I will tolerate anything up to THIS (whatever it is) opens you up to a whole bunch of stuff you didn't see coming. So my answer is i may not be able to give you a list but i'll certainly let you know when you are approaching the line, if you want to stick around you'll listen, if you don't oh well i'm better off without you anyway. If you make a solid line people have a tendancy to push you right up to it and see just how far over they can go.
