I was told by a woman that teaches the deaf that a lot of people who use sign language use it to help them feel their thumb better when they sign, or are just learning to sign. But that does not account for all the thumb rings out there.

I used to hear, that people would say that'sa cosutme of people of night,or gay. that was something that started out by rockers, and from that point it was never saw like something normal... but hey it is just a ring on a finger...
