I guess I should have been a little more specific...I have a bowl of flour I keep separate from my cooking flour and I just eat it plain off of a spoon - dry - nothing else but flour...

With Raegan, my oldest, I craved Chicken Tenders from BK (they couldn't be chicken nuggets), sour cream & onion chips, and vanilla milk shakes. I also craved a lot of watermelon & strawberries. Of course, it was the dead of winter, so it was expensive, but it was healthy, so I indulged.

With Christian, my middle, I craved cheese hot dogs & coke (not just any cola, it had to be coke), and always at like midnight or 2 am.

With Gillian, my youngest, I didn't crave anything.

This is not anything strange at all. While pregnant, the fetus is "pulling" out every nutrient and vitamin from your body it can find, thus setting off these cravings. Being in and around the medical profession most of my life, I have found that taking a really good vitamin and mineral supplement will help with these cravings. Especially minerals in the colloidal form if you can find it in your area. Coral Calcium is also a good source for the mineral activity your body and (baby) need at this time. Your Doctor would certainly agree with this. It is not uncommon for women to want to eat dirt, sand, raw food etc. Sometimes you even see pregnant horses and other animals on the farm eating strange things while pregnant. Hoses will eat at the wood in and around the barn while pregnant, it's called "cribbing". It's just simply a lack of vitamins and minerals during this time.

flour? LOL, that's great! My wife craved McDonald's chicken nuggets, the smell of beer, peanuts, and diet coke. Pretty normal considering some ppl craved household cleaners!

With my last pregnancy I was addicted to ranch salad dressing. I would either pour it over everything or dip things in it. You are craving flour or things made with flour?

Nope you're not crazy. Try eating some flourey biscuits. That might satisfy your craving.

I had a friend that craved crayons, she couldn't eat them obviously, but the doc told her that there was something in them that he body was requiring, thats why we have cravings, especially when pregnant.

I craved lima beans!

I craved a raw steak one night. Of course I'd never actually EAT a raw steak because it's bad for me and baby but hell I still had the craving. My boyfriend told me that I must be having the anti-christ!!!

No, you're not crazy, but make sure you talk about it with your doctor. There is a name for that condition, but it doesn't mean that there is anything wrong. When I was pregnant, I craved really strong, garlicky flavours - Greek ribs and Caesar salad.

Flour?
So...um....like you have an urge to have a big, heaping hot bowl of flour?
Or would you prefer it mixed with shortening, eggs and water?
