Let's say global warming is happening (which I still haven't seen evidence that would make me think that it's happening or that man is causing most of it) worse things could happen.

Humans are very adaptable to gradual changes. The US is only about 10 generations old, we've come a long way in those generations. What makes you think we can't go even further in the next 10 generations?

If global warming is melting glaciers, doesn't that make more land and ocean area available for vegetation and algae - both of which take C02 out of the atmosphere?

The Earth has gone through thousands of warming and cooling cycles long before man was here. We're safe.

If I were you, I'd be much more concerned about an asteroid or comet careening into Earth or one of Earth's supervolcanoes erupting than slow, gradual changes that may or may not be happening.
