If you roll 5 of a kind in 3 rolls or 1 it is still a Yahtzee.

As with anything else in the game of Yahtzee, you roll once and you can choose to keep the points you've earned, for any category, or you can keep any or all of the dice and roll again. you have a maximum of three rolls. The Yahtzees work the same way. If you do it in one, great. If not, you have three rolls, and you can keep some of them out as you go.
