There's someone on this board who keeps making extreme generalizations, and ...what would be the point if you're just going to piss off everyone else?

I know, I'll complain about gay marriage on a gay section of a site, that won't upset anyone at all!!

Why would people want to do this?!

Because they are stupid?

(laughing) I suspect it's purely a matter of them doing so to give themselves plausible deniability as to why they're cruisin the gay/bi areas. Their being here shows that gay/bi sexuality's on their mind quite a bit. If they truly thought it was gross or offensive, they'd avoid rather than be drawn to the subject.
My favorite example is mushrooms. I think they're disgusting, and won't even eat somethin after pickin the mushrooms out. I find them THAT repulsive. This being the case, I don't give em a second thought, unless they happen to be in the meal I'm about to eat. I CERTAINLY don't obsessively campaign for their abolition.

I was raised in a Christian home also; but I also think this supposedly unshakable/unquestioning straitness is just a cover or a mask (at least for the people in question). As much as I think most of us here would love to see someone who's totally intolerant learn to be less intolerant or judgmental, how many would waste their valuable time arguing online or spouting whatever rhetoric on deaf ears when theirs so many other productive useful or even fun things you could be accomplishing. When theyre are so many cool intelligent fun and most importantly like minded people you could be spending time with. Why would you waste your God given precious time on somebody who you consider undesirable, inferior, ignorant, or degenerate. Unless your secretly longing to spend time with someone you consider such. Fortunately/unfortunately in this country if you really disagree with a particular lifestyle nationality or race you can completely isolate yourself from it quite easily i.e. mormons, quakers, etc. The people arguing the loudest against gay marriage have given it more power than it wouldve ever had if it was allowed to run its own course like heterosexual marriage. If I wasnt crippled on a beautiful summer day like this Id be out downtown or on a beach or in the shade at the park or some cafe with a cappuccino or a beer or whatever getting buzzed at the very least people watching or catching a game. Even just driving over to a buddies house and preaching to him would seem more interesting than trolling the gay boards unless your planning on coming out or looking to find yourself or like myself to find a second or third opinion of something you think someone gay might have a more knowledgeable or interesting opinion of. Anyways I guess its just a part of life online like the thorn on a rose or seed in the watermelon. So to everybody answering this question: how many poems, essays, or even haikus have been written on thorns? Now how many hours wasted did they spend trying to create a perfect seedless watermelon...

If you look around you will find hatred and negativity in every category!
Its not just limited to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered category.
It doesn't make it right, but in a public site your going to get every body's opinions and you have to expect some of them are going to be negative.Unfortunately if its categorized correctly, there is not much you can do about it unless it goes against Yahoo rules.
Yahoo doesn't have a Hate & Negitivity catagory.(although possibly they should)

human beings continuously have their own say on countless themes surrounding our lives. Im not siding anti-gay human beings yet i think of having them around makes it greater exciting, top? that's what the communicate board's all approximately. i've got faith that anti-gay everybody isn't interest seekers, it quite is in simple terms concern of the unknown or not having the flexibility to narrate to gay human beings or their existence that cause them to vocal approximately their ideals.

People suck. There's nothing wrong with being gay, and it ISN'T going to stop EVER so there's really no point in putting it down and being hateful. Play nice, kids.

PS - "Justin" - you (and those like you) are in denial because you know you cannot escape what you ARE.. You are gay no matter WHAT you say, so just come out of your closet and really live.
Now you've just been DELIVERED a reality check!

Because this person is obviously trying to upset people.

As for the Ex-Gay movement, one needs to make up their own mind about this. However, in my readings, it seems the cover is being blown on these groups left and right as being anything from Ineffective and hiding the fact to being downright sadistic and cultish.

They're probably secretly gay. To quote a scientific research study (PDF linked below):

"The results of this study indicate that individuals who score in the homophobic range and admit negative affect toward homosexuality demonstrate significant sexual arousal to male homosexual erotic stimuli.”

The one-liner: 80% of homophobic males are turned on by gay porn, compared to 34% of non-homophobic males.

People just want to stir the pot; and see what surfaces. Obviously there here to seek out some part of their life that is hidden and soon to be exposed.

Perhaps there should be an anti-gay section, then you would have more gay questions?
